In the beginning, it is really hard. The more consistent you are at something, the more your body builds up the habit to do the thing naturally. So the beautiful thing about consistency is “the more consistent you are, the level of resistance you are facing to do it, declines.” As you become more effective at it, and so this thing kicks in called “habit” where habitually you begin to do something, and when you don’t do that thing your body tells you, “I feel like something is missing.” Have you ever got into the habit of having a fresh cup of coffee every morning when you wake up?
What happens on the one day you don’t have your fresh cup of coffee?
Something almost doesn’t fit
Consistency is about being consistent
Do the thing even when you don’t feel like doing it. And do it as if you were looking forward to doing it
HOW DO YOU BECOME CONSISTENT?
• Start: begin the course, sketch the painting if you want to learn how to paint. Initiate that exercise.
• Pick a time and stick to it: I usually take my Spanish lessons in the morning.
• Accountability: tell your friends or family members to hold you accountable.
• Have a goal in mind: “I want to be fluent in Spanish” or “I want to have a flat stomach”.
• Own a picture of the goal: Get a picture of someone who has achieved that goal.
I have a picture of Jackie Chan because he can speak several languages.

BACK TO YOU
It is through discipline that not only are all things possible but also that all things are enhanced. And without it, even the most wonderful things turn to ash or regret.
