
You can’t avoid stress. So don’t let stress stop you from being happy. Take your control today by following the steps below.
1. Practice mindfulness: When someone is using a ball to hit your gate, you can decide whether it is going to stress you or not, but I will decide that it’s not going to stress me. Sometimes you need to look at what is happening and ask yourself if shouting or becoming stressed about it is going to solve the problem. If it is you, you bother about it. Ask yourself, is it worth my time? Is it something I should bother about? If it’s something you should bother about, and bothering about it would solve the problem. Then go ahead and bother. If not, leave it alone.
2. Make time for physical activity: your body is made to move around. But that’s not the only thing. When you exercise, your body releases what’s called endorphins inside your bloodstream. Endorphin is like a natural high. It is a natural mood lifter. So you do short walks, you can trek. Trekking makes you feel good when you are exercising not when you are waiting for the bus.
3. Talk about it: we like to hold things tight to our chest. And that’s a problem. The more you hold it tight to your chest, the more the balloon bursts. So if you are feeling sad or you are feeling alone, find someone and share it with. It’s like having a copilot inside a plane. So share your problem. A problem half shared is a problem half solved. It’s not a problem that will give you money. Just share it.
4. Take care of your diet: one of the things that happens with stress is that it makes you crave unhealthy food. If you notice that you are beginning to crave a lot of sugar, beginning to crave a lot of junk. That can be one of the signs that you are stressed. So ensure that your diet is healthy.
5. Watch a movie or listen to music

The problems can still be there because the steps are not going to solve the problems, but your health is not going to suffer. Slowly but surely you will find your happiness again.
